The group began as FIAM ELECTRONIC Marquis Ludovico & C. SNC in 1966 to leverage its first patent on a portable record player with automatic feeding at 45 rpm (mangiadischi). The success has been remarkable both in Italy and abroad.

2 ° The patent was important that related to lamps sequins exported throughout Europe and Arab countries and the USA. With the extension of this patent in the U.S. there was a huge hit selling well in the States and Canada. In parallel to the music industry and the lamps, the FIAM built the first vending machine for small gadgets combined with pinball game for children. Currently this leading distributor together with a wide range of distributors and vending machines-games are produced by the FIAM AUTOMATION LTD succeeded in this field for over 30 years to the FIAM ELECTRONICS SNC expanding distribution of its products to many countries of Europe, Latin America and Japan. A new series of beacons called SHOW-LAMP was launched about 28 years ago. It has recently been joined by a new series of animated image projection lamps designed furnishings and advertising. The FIAM has also thought the animated advertising for public places, playing a wood oven in which burning embers burning with flames coming out from them. It has also produced a bright flame animated to be inserted inside a chimney obtaining the same effect as real flames. Both lamps "motion lamp" that animated signs (particularly suitable for flame animated Pizza and kebab restaurants and have had great success both in Italy and Europe) were carried out on their patents. Since 1972 FIAM ELECTRONICS SNC has created a division that deals with industrial electronics: it was the first Italian company to build a system microprocessor Telealarm voice synthesis for remote monitoring of gas distribution, water and electricity. It also deals with the design and manufacture of equipment for cathodic protection, such as power supplies ranging from 8-30 Amps, power lines and telephone protection, measurement interfaces.

In the year 1980 the electronic Fiam snc has been split into two companies:
FIAM Electronic Automation srl srl and flame.
The electronic FIAM was born as, and still is, a family business.
